Today I’m flying up to San Francisco to celebrate my birthday (tomorrow) with my sister, brother-in-law, and friends. I’ll be gone till Tuesday, have a lovely few days!

Sunday, as a belated birthday treat, I took my dear cousin Kiki to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for a day of luxury. Or at least a day of sitting in hot mineral water, rubbing mud on ourselves, and being painted with an amazing moisturizing treatment.
Our favorite was one of their floating pool; it only a foot and a half deep and filled with rafts and was so much fun to lay out in.

The art historian in me geeked out at work recently; we restored an original Jean Arp terrazzo base for one of his sculptures at the Annenberg Center.
While Arp did not make the base himself, it is his original design and it’s actually quite rare to find an Arp sculpture with the original base intact.

My girlfriends and I spent this last weekend at the Ace hotel in Palm Springs.
The time spent soaking up the sun and heat on the the poolside chaises and enjoying delicious drinks and food only left us wanting more. I definitiley see more visits to the desert this summer.
